Fray Bentos Finally Come Clean Over Pies

My western food supplier has these "special offers" today (normally 190 BAHT (£4.32)):

FRAY BENTOS PIES STEAK/KIDNEY, MINCE BEEF/ONION, CHILLI BEEF
ANY 3........................................................................170 BAHT EACH (£3.86)
ANY 6........................................................................160 BAHT EACH (£3.64)
ANY 9........................................................................150 BAHT EACH (£3.41)

They are still on ** special ** 3 months later. Obviously not going down a bomb.

Never heard of pie in a can...i have seen canned bread and thought it odd. So that pie in a can is kinda like the jiffy pop of pastries? Oh i'm not sure if you have jiffy pop...heck i don't know if the u.s. has jiffy pop anymore...but it was popcorn in a pie tin that you place on the cook top and the popcorn pops in an aluminum ball...
