Generations

This is an interesting generational difference.

Of 2000 people polled- 78% of people born after 1996 had a booze free christmas planned compared with only 6% of boomers.
A stark contrast!
None of those booze free people are in my family. Some of the youngsters (my son-in-law and youngest daughter) participated in sober October and dry January last year and my oldest daughter was not drinking because she was pregnant, but currently there are no teetotalers in that group.

They’ve known gen z comparatively don’t drink much alcohol for a long time but I am surprised they don’t want to at Christmas either.

They say seeing the older gens relationship with alcohol has put them off!

I have to say I am contemplating a dry Christmas just because it makes me tired and Christmas then feels like a slog.. but don’t hold me to that 😂
