KKA called them haricot beans which on this side of the pond worked out to navy beans.

Okay, I can get navy beans which looked more like those and this site says they're haricot beans. I must say the navy beans look a *lot* more like yours than the ones I cooked.Blimey. Those are all different types!
This is what haricot beans look like here (yours looked longer and a bit flatter). More like butter beans.

Some around here call them butter beans too. It's a regional thing.As I thought - we call them butter beans. They have a different softer texture compared to haricot.
