Thank you 🙂 things have calmed down a little here since yesterday.

Eldest stepson got into a major argument with us yesterday because he insisted to go into our bedroom for his OCD ritual and we refused. He was very angry , but we held on.

It worked because it made him unable to finish his ritual and for the first time in days his normal self emerged from the fog. He was freed from having to do the ritual because he could not continue and that helped him to stop it completely. He was very relieved.
So we had a peaceful evening.

Of course, this is by no means solved but at least we have a strategy now. Make him unable to do his ritual and he will eventually calm down.

We will definitely try, hopefully it works more than once. So far he has always gotten a new ritual to compensate for the old one so that's part of the difficulty. But we'll see if this works again.
 
Well, as it looks like face masks will be with us for the foreseeable future, I did something this morning I couldn't have imagined 45 days ago; I spent an hour googling "fashion face masks," to buy - if I have to wear a face mask every day, I'm going to look my best doing so. 🎭
