We've now reached the point where more and more politicians and pundits are openly saying, "Look, people are gonna die, that's just the way it is, so let's just get back to normal and hope for the best."That's the same here, and our government has given in. I'm worried this will cause a second wave, so I will be careful regardless.
I could understand that if this were some kind of calamity with no resolution or no end in sight, like the moon were to slowly begin to crash into the planet, or a new ice age, but this isn't like that. At some point, and likely within the next 18 months, there will be a vaccine, everyone who can get it will get it, and then things can rightly go back to normal.
I can only speak for myself, but I can put up with almost anything unpleasant, as long as I know there's an end date.
I want to be clear, I'm not talking about the economic side, I'm obviously lucky in that one of us is still bringing in money, but the idea of risking your life so you can walk around Walmart without a mask on or sit in a McDonald's on top of 45 other people is crazy to me.
