.....There was one lady on there that I could sympathise with. Sorry, I can't remember her name, but she too was used to cooking for her family and, although a lot of her meals were good, she too fell down on presentation.....

It was Mary. although Sweta would probably be more of my soulmate ("Her favourite cuisines to cook are Asian and Mediterranean in the broadest sense - from Middle Eastern and South East Asian, to Italian or Turkish.").

I think there is a bit of style over substance going on.... possibly. Its hard to say when we can't taste it! But carved fruits and cucumbers are merely decorative.
