(Above are pictures of past year's cookie trays I've given as gifts)

‘Tis the season for Christmas cookies!

Do you do a cookie exchange with a group of friends who each bake several kinds of cookies? Then exchange so everyone has an assortment?
Are cookies part of your Christmas gifts?
Do you make the cookie dough ahead of time and freeze it until it’s time to bake?
Do you like small bite size cookies or large cookies? (I like small bite size cookies)

I have to say, as much as I love Christmas and cooking and cooking for Christmas, I almost never make Christmas cookies. I made some pfeffernusse a few years ago that I posted up, though:

Recipe - Pfeffernusse ("Pepper Nuts")

Normally, we buy all our Christmas cookies, everything from specialty cookies from the bakery, to tins of Christmas-themed biscuits from the UK, to all those things like white fudge Oreos and the like.

I made pfeffernusse once (decades ago, LOL). Mine were more oval/oblong shaped. Nice spicy cookie.
