It's about 6 appliances in one. Saves all the hassle and clutter of several different appliances all doing the same thing!!

Why does anyone need a rice cooker?

I had a Black & Decker one. Before that, I had a small Zojurishi one.

What do you have against having a rice cooker? True, the stove can very well suffice. But like everything else out there, rice cookers have become what is know today as one of the things that most people want.

Some consider it as a MUST HAVE thing. You may have been cooking rice on the stove for years. I did not buy my multi cooker just for cooking rice. I mainly bought it to use for deep frying. It is not too big, nor is it too small. Just right for me.
