Back in the eighties, in pre-boom Dublin, I used to enjoy a Macaroon bar.
The Macaroon bar is a classic coconut flavored chocolate bar from one of Ireland’s oldest confectionery brands. Not to be confused with the Scottish bar of the same name, which contained fondant.
It's one of those confections, where the cocoa content was so low as to be barely noticeable. I think it was more a fat, with coconut shreads and not much else. The kids liked them.
