OK - the hot peppers used are also capsicum anuum - but hotter. They´re called taeyangcho; Korean hot chile peppers.
There are so many varieties of the chile pepper these days, it´s almost impossible to keep up. However, given the South Korean climate is similar to Southern Spain, that would be reasonable.
