Plans for today (2025)

Plans for today:
Shell out even more money on the car, because the mechanic reckons the clutch is only about 30% effective right now.
Watch IPL.
Buy some beer because it's Friday.
Wonder what on earth do with the rest of the day after 2pm:laugh::laugh:

I tried...
But no beer in the compound and I don't feel like driving to go and get.
I think they get tonight, but it will be warm.
Will need to cool them before drinking obviously
Shame you weren’t brought up with the old British custom of drinking warm beer 😂
A custom that has all but died out now, thank god!

There would still be no beer for now ...
Its just that there is no electricity in this area as Zambians like their beers ice and ice cold.
(I got solar power, and I also like my beers cold)

A warm beer in the UK would be significantly colder than one in Zambia I'd think!

I like ice cold beer, too.

Well I drank tea and am now drinking coffee, made DH's breakfast. I am entering expenses for my work projects completed this week. I didn't feel the need to go spread my germs in the world today so I am staying home and will work Monday.

My head cold came on really fast out of nowhere yesterday. I started sneezing in my car and my nose was running by the time I finished my last store and was blowing my nose all the way home. I am usually so careful in sanitizing my hands and washing them whenever possible while out working, but I must have walked into some airspace with airborne pathogens and picked up something earlier in the week...at first I thought it was just allergies, but usually my nose doesn't run this much from pollen. Anyway. It isn't bad, thankfully. Just hoping hubby doesn't pick it up. We don't always get each others sickness, which is a good thing.
I take butterbur for hay fever. Amazon has a standardized extract.

BUTTERBUR: Overview, Uses, Side Effects, Precautions, Interactions, Dosing and Reviews
I have prescription meds for my allergies that work pretty well and are practically free with my insurance. I like going the natural route whenever possible but like SSOAP pointed out, the side effects don't seem pleasant. My prescription meds don't bother me at all.
