Rendang

That looks delicious!
It reminds me a little of an Indian dish called "Kashmiri Dum Aloo", where the potatoes are similary cooked in a rich sauce (in this case, yoghurt) and allowed to soak up the flavours.


Looks good. Potatoes are a perfect vehicle for soaking up flavour. My issue with rendang is an intolerance of coconut milk. So I avoid it. Maybe I could substitute full fat yoghurt.
 
Won't be rendang, but I can see it work. I use yoghurt in a lot of curries.
The moment I can get to a Farmer's market ( which may be this weekend) to buy some baby potatoes, I'm going to try potato rendang. I think it'd work a treat. As for using yoghurt, fine, although the result will probably be more Indian than Indonesian flavoured.
