Standard Saturday breakfast, but specifically requested by MrsT after her week away:

She said all her breakfasts while on vacation were very poorly made, and she wanted something basic, but well-prepared.

We only stream "TV" so we used some of our hotel rewards points to stay at a local place to watch baseball.
A full hot breakfast was included

Post Turkey hangover. It wasn’t the beer. Honest! A rare Monday off. Waffle, strawberry sauce in front of the computer.

I found King's Hawaiian Sweet Bread Round loaf, our favorite from back home.
This makes the best French Toast!

I like thick cut breads for French Toast, which is why I buy the loaf, but if I can find the thick cut Texas Toast style King's, then get it!!
Oh and we shared that little plate of Turkey Sausages.

I’ll admit, I’m posting this just to rile some people up:

My sis went out to breakfast this morning and sent me a pic of her scrambled eggs (which she quite enjoyed).

Cue outrage…

Stomach not feeling great. I had plain grits made with water, butter, and a dash of salt.

Not scrambled egg. Not, not not! So you got me riled! As Windigo says it looks like an omelette. In fact it is an omelette as far as I can see, I wonder what their actual omelettes look like...

You do not disappoint!

If you go back and look at the last omelette I posted…that’s what theirs look like - it’s from the same place I met my siblings this past weekend.

When you see scrambled eggs like that, it almost always means they made them on a hot diner griddle and not in a pan, because they just squirt down a little (most likely fake) butter, ladle on some (already-mixed) eggs, and immediately start folding and chopping, folding and chopping, and about 30 seconds later… ”Two eggs! Wrecked! Order up!”

Those be shredded potatoes, which she has unfortunately put ketchup on - now that’s something to get riled about!

At least she didn't put ketchup on the eggs. I can't even look at scrambled eggs with ketchup on them.
