My dearly departed boy tabby would have been 26 today. He died in 2015. He was the best cat ever and I miss him so much.

He really was; despite his anxiety, he was very dignified, an old soul.
He was so funny that way; once he grew out of the kitten stage, he still liked playing, but not in front if people. If he was playing with a little toy or something (or even chasing his own tail, I caught him doing that a few times), and saw you watching him, he’d immediately stop. He’d casually sit down or wash his face, as if to say “I wasn’t playing. Only silly little kittens play, and I am a very dignified grown-up kitty!”

So sorry; that’s really rough. I had to take the one year anniversary of my cat’s death off from work because I was sure I’d be a wreck.
