Recipe Spicy Paprika Beef Stew

^^^ They don't carry them at my smaller local Kroger, though they might at the big Kroger Marketplace.

I had to get them from a gourmet grocery we have nearby. I just got a new cookbook and was pleased to see a couple of recipes that call for them.
 
^^^ Yes, it's from that cookbook. Irritatingly enough, juniper berries aren't listed in the index, but I flipped through the recipes I have marked and found one for braised brisket that uses them.
 
I must keep a lookout for these as I've never used them either. Being a certain age, have to admit whenever I hear or see juniper berries mentioned I quite childishly think of that poor old nude guy in Life of Brian trying to keep his vow of silence.
