Super Bowl 2022

The last world cup final had 517 million viewers, champions league 328 million

I didn't find the total worldwide Super Bowl viewership, but since only one country is involved, and it is a one-day event, I would certainly expect it to be considerably less than total worldwide viewership for the World Cup tournament. :scratchhead:

I was just wondering, for world cup definitely, but I didn't expect champions league to be this high. In germany they show a lot of commercials about the super bowl, the bars invite you to watch it there as well and all the supermarkets have superbowl deals, like what's eaten in the USA. It started around '15 that superbowl got a celebrated event here

The World Cup has gotten more popular in the US over recent years, especially with the success of the USA Women's Team. That got the attention of a lot of Americans.

The Dallas professional soccer/football team, FC Dallas, plays in my city, Frisco.

BTW Pablo, did you know that one of Dallas' biggest sports heros is from Germany? Retired Dallas Mavericks basketball player, Dirk Nowitzki?

Here’s FC Cincinnati‘s brand-spanking-new stadium:

Cincinnati Enquirer

We were looking at houses in that neighborhood when they first announced that as the site of the new stadium. Put an end to that idea real quick…

I bought 40. 10 lb cases on Wednesday. Still have a few left. Just heading in to work. Hopefully we can unload the rest of them. Looks like I may have to freeze some. I’ll still get rid of them over time so no loss. I just figured there would be more demand. It’s our first year in town so we’re learning. Lot’s of wings for me, though.

I saw in another thread Bengal cookies mentioned in relation to super bowl (about which I am learning). Where does the name Bengal come from? Sounds Asian...

My other question. Why are chicken wings so popular for super bowl?

Bengal tigers. The Cincinnati Zoo has long been associated with white Bengal tigers, and there was a previous, unrelated football team named the Bengals, so when the current team was founded, it was a nod back to that history.

Wings are just a popular bar food when you’re out watching a game, and they’re easy to make at home, so they’re sort of a natural fit. They used to be dirt cheap, but not anymore. Pizza, ribs, nachos…all those finger foods are popular for the SB, American football, and a lot of other sporting events in general.
