I've got delivery passes for Tesco (any day) and Sainsbury's (mid-week). I get my main shopping from Tesco, but Sainsbury's are sometimes cheaper plus they have some brands that our online Tesco do not stock. I was going to stop getting their delivery pass, but some of Sainsbury's charges are quite a lot more expensive for reasons that I cannot understand. Tesco can be a pain too. I can see our huge local Tesco from my front room, but because I live north of the main road my shopping comes from 30 miles away. If I lived the store side of the road, my shopping would come from there, and they have far more choice. As I said, I order the heavy stuff online because I cannot carry much, and if I go to the local store by car, it can take over an hour because of the traffic, no matter what time of day, even though it is so close!!!Perhaps its only Tesco's that does the substitute for same price or cheaper not Ocado.
I buy the delivery pass each year from both Tesco and Ocado - I buy wine from Tesco so its easy to reach the £40 minimum! So I often use both Tesco and Ocado in the same week and sometimes more than once. I also use them to shop for the family when I'm away as well as using them at my friend's house. So sometimes I'm doing two orders to different addresses on the same day!
Price matching is strange too. Tesco is normally cheaper, but on one occasion my shopping from Sainsbury's was £10.65 cheaper than Tesco. However, Sainsbury's no longer match prices, but if they substitute from their own brands they will give vouchers for the difference. As for refunds, I find with Tesco that if I give stuff back to the driver, it takes ages to get a refund from them, and it's quicker to take the item with the receipt back to the store across the road.
