Recipe Tamarind (Imli) Chutney

Thank you KK! Tomorrow is "peel" day!!!

rascal I'll have to get through these "things" and see where I'm at. I've found where I can order the paste but it's 3X more than what I paid for what I've got so I'll have to see how long it takes; probably Vodka dependant... :D
 
So badjak is there a method for getting the pulpy part off the seed? Mine are all pretty uniformly stuck together. Never had these before so don't know! :eek:

Kk beat me to it.
But yes, peel.
Then throw the pips etc in water and boil. Cool, then rub the "meat" off the pips. Most will be off already
Through a sieve and use.
You can throw new water on the debris as sort of 2nd runnings

Processing the tamarind to make the chutney. Mine are a bit dried but I've found that by soaking in warm water they come right apart!
