Yamswurzel - yes, it's a yam. There are honestly not many words in German that start with the letter Y, and no drinks, food preparations, or even brands that I could locate that start with the letter.

Gzik is a characteristic dish of Wielkopolska and Kujawska cuisine. It is a cottage cheese with cream, mixed with chives or onions or radish and egg. Most often served with potatoes. It gained popularity because it is very easy to prepare, cheap in performance and delicious . It does not need many products and it is made very quickly.

So, this raises a rules question: Is it acceptable to use an English word for a dish in a non-English cuisine? I didn't think that was the case. That's why my X-entry (the German word for the food item) seemed appropriate, but apparently it wasn't for some reason.
