I´m now very confused.
Is it an orange? Is it a raspberry?
Or is it just blood?
The package I bought today said "notes of raspberry" on the label. That would obviously refer to the flavor.

caseydog so I'm guessing that they'd pretty much taste like the ones I saw today?
Raspberry Blood Oranges...
These are all California oranges that I am showing. Didn't Florida have a freeze problem recently?

That’s usually my experience with Kroger pre-bagged fruit. It’s rarely ripe. Then they aren't ripe as they shouldn't be. They aren't very bloody either. They should be RED with very little, if any, orange. There's a reason they were named blood oranges.
Thanks will doo - I’ll edit that in nowI love the recipe. Add a picture to the recipe thread when you post a recipe if you want people to see how great it looks.
I've not read everything yet, so someone might have already mentioned this, but I thought that their name came from their increased size and excessive volume of baggy skin...I think of it as an orange big enough to share, so your partner/friend might say, “Gimmie ‘su-mo’ o’ that orange!”
