I have made a start on my next entry but I think I may need another day... we'll see.

The recipe requires a 4hr simmer which means I won't complete it today and I'm out tomorrow morning. Hopefully me being 9hrs ahead of the UK will give me enough time.

I was waiting for the green tomatoes to grow! All the recipes I could find wanted 6 lbs of green tomatoes or 3kg. I managed to scrape together 500g. Now if figs were the challenge ingredient...

Yes I know it isn't green, but neither was the spiced pickling vinegar and the brown sugar.

It is surprisingly nice.
