The CookingBites recipe challenge: tomatoes

I've stumbled into a tomato recipe that takes about 6 hours just to prep, having to make the main tomato element a day in advance and run the oven for that entire 6 hours. Yikes! I was going to try and start it today, but backed out, for now.

But the dish looks great! Yummy!
Thanks!

I've stumbled into a tomato recipe that takes about 6 hours just to prep, having to make the main tomato element a day in advance and run the oven for that entire 6 hours. Yikes! I was going to try and start it today, but backed out, for now.
Now I'm intrigued.

I've started roasted my tomato preparation at 12:30am Pacific Time and as I pointed out in a previous post, it will take about 5 hours. I am using my Cosori Smart Multi-function Toaster Oven. This is its first use for something more than just toast.

I'm working on one where the first stage takes 24 hours and it isn't to produce dried tomatoes...

The tomatoes won't be dried. Perhaps, they will be a bit dehydrated, but not dry. To let the cat out of the bag, the first stage result is called tomato conserva. The rest of the recipe regards something the tomato conserva will top.

I've decided that my next entry will involve my home made naranja agria sauce with tomatoes and chicken. I don't have a clue how well tomatoes will go with naranja agria, but I expect it to work out well.

I only have one tomato left, so I'll have to go for groceries and get more in the next few days.

I don't know what that is but it sounds interesting. Off to Google...
No need - it means "bitter orange" and is a popular sauce in Colombia. I´ve never made it , but the bitter oranges are Seville oranges, the same used for marmalade.
FL posted a recipe in the Sauces forum a few weeks ago.
