I've been watching the TV series "Spartacus".

It contains very graphic violence and is extremely rude!
 
I've watched the entire series. Fascinating stuff, although it was a bit of soft porn at times. Well, most of the time.
It was just historically accurate enough to make it intetesting, imo.

How do you find it rude, Yorky?

Look at in other ways. How often have you seen a picture of something, bought it then asked yourself why it doesn't look like the one in the picture, or made something and been left wondering why it doesn't look like the one you saw?

You've given how they get the picture they want, image manipulation, but that won't always explain it.

I think you make a different point. I'm not wanting to edit images to mislead anyone - just to improve the clarity of the image.

My point really is that all the reasons given for why there is a year's cut off can just as easily occur within the year time-frame. I could, in a fit of pique, delete all my posts from the last year and reek havoc with a LOT of threads. I can edit all my images from the last year so any argument about leaving 'bad' photos in place to show my photographic development is null and void.

No, of course I'm not saying we shouldn't be able to edit at all. Just that the year window doesn't match the arguments being given for such a time limit. But I doubt very much that anyone cares except me anyway! :happy:
 
Were you running from a Roman army? A phalanx? (Easy now. It's a rigid military formation. Hmm, nevermind) Did you wear togas, enlisting slaves as you went along?

What channel was it that you didn't dare let your childrenor aunt watch after 10 pm eastern?
It was really soft porn.
I remember back when HBO couldn't show R movies until after 10pm eastern.
 
As per the nudity,
I remember the first time I got naked in front of others. Two teases had promised a couple of guys they would get naked if the guys came over. Needless to say the teases had no intentions of doing such a thing. The guys came over and the older of the two wound up with a naked me in his lap. He said later, it would have been more enjoyable if the teases weren't trying to extract me from his lap. He also said the look on the teases faces were priceless. They also never pulled that crap again while I was around.
I later found out that was a common ploy for them, although in reality, all their guy friends knew they weren't going to see them naked. After I pulled my stunt, word got around so the teases would be asked if I was there. The answer was always no. Then they had to come up with a different tactic.

I can't remember if the guys in the shower had their clothes on or off. I know one had clothes on. I was called in there to attempt to embarrass him or help undress him. I just walked back out.
Later that summer, I had some pictures taken with a strategically placed kitten.
Nudity has never bothered me.

To be fair violence is always graphic or it isn't really violence - I sometimes wonder if we stopped 'sugar coating' reality and accepting such rubbish as 'Oh I did it because I saw it in a video game' pleas by criminals the world might be a safer place. I agree with the idea of a 'watershed' be it 9 or 10 pm but after that as an adult it's up to you.

Can't say that it happened much up here in the north east [and it's usually a bit cold for wandering about in a toga].

I think it was Encore, a premium cable channel much like HBO. Or maybe it was Starz.

And of course I never let my son watch sny of it. We barely let him watch The Simpsons until this year, and have scolded him when we caught him watching Famy Guy.

But you can't stop tbe tide forever.
