I think I' m going to be sick because of this weather...until yesterday it was hot but then cold during the night, this morning was hot and now is cold again. Last week we had 36/37 C...now 19.
How can I dress my self? T-shirt and moonboots?

Shorts and a sweatshirt.
You see that combination here quite frequently.

Hard to tell from 1 day to the next :scratchhead:

Whoever ordered this heat can come pick it up. It is done.
please.... we are having record lows at the moment. A front from Antarctica has made its way free of Antarctica and made it all the way to Australia. Its the widest lowest temps on record apparently. Many, many states are involved (Tasmania, South Australia, New South Wales, Australia Capital Territory and another I've forgotten...) We had some lower than -8C last night. All I know is that at 7am this morning it was -8C and rising... We lost all water, drinking/tank water and sanitation/bore water which with all the impurities in the bore water is quite surprising. It took well into the afternoon to get it back and it was already below freezing at 5pm when I brought the chicks in. I know -8C isn't low compared to what you a are used to, but here it has been -4C to -8C every night now for the best part of 2 months.

When I was at the vets yesterday with a rescue chook that came my way the night before (in a bad way) I asked her about keeping them separate because the vet wanted the rescue chook in isolation (hardly surprising given what is wrong with the poor thing) but at the same time she wanted her kept warm (she has been starved amongst other issues)... so I asked how much isolation because we only have the 1 stove (that stays in at night) and can't put the chicks out at night. She looked at me and basically said she didn't reckon I would get the chicks out in the main coop for at least another month! I'm hoping the newbie will have recovered enough in the next 2 weeks to be out in the coop herself!

Anyhow - this was this morning. -8C at 7am when I did the chooks. Breakfast and my view was....
The hoar frost was heavier than usual.

We had quite a heavy rainstorm earlier but it only lasted about 20 minutes. Cleared the air a little but the temperature has now risen to 33 degC with relative humidity at 64% .

I find it very interesting that we are having above normal temperatures and you are having below normal temperatures. Oh and -8C is cold in any country. I don't just mean here, I mean all over the US.

As @Cinisajoy said, -8C (17.5 F) is cold anywhere. That being said, I remember downhill skiing when the temps started at 15 F and dropped to 12 F - so roughly -9.5C to -11C. That was back when I was young and stupid. Now I know enough to keep my nose tucked into the house and behave.

It was in the mid-80s by us today, and a bit humid - although it will be warmer and wetter tomorrow. If only those of us dealing with too hot could find a way to box up ten degrees and send it to you to put to good use...
