Today we went to Thera, a lot of steps! Anyway, at one point we walked past a lady breast feeding her son-she didn't cover up, no fuss was made no one seemed to bother so why is it such an issue over here?

It's an issue here, as well. I'll say that we were in Bath last year at the train station, and a woman there flopped one out to feed her kid. There didn't seem to be much fuss made.

The only time it bothers me (TMI warning, possibly) is when the baby happens to be a messy eater (and they all are, frankly). If I'm sitting there and happen to turn my head at just the wrong time and catch a baby pulling back from the teat and there are all those milky spit strings between mother and child...it kind of turns my stomach.

Then again, I've seen many adults with table manners that've made me wish they'd stayed home as well.

Do ladies in the UK and other parts of the world mind being referred to as "Chicks"?

I do a bit - but it is very little used now in the UK. In fact I can't recall the last time I heard it unless it is said 'tongue in cheek'. In New Zealand it seems to be quite an everyday term going by what @rascal has said in the past.

Well, that was handy. It's taken Waitrose an age to deliver in our area. We had a discount code and decided to do an order, but it was only when we got to the checkout stage that they told us that you can't use these codes in Scotland if you want to buy alcohol, all thanks to the minimum unit price laws here. No matter that what we ordered wouldn't have been cheaper anyway, but I suppose the law is the law.

Feeling a bit hacked off, I sent them an email suggesting it might be helpful to let people know before they've spent time ordering. To my surprise, they agreed that the website wasn't very helpful and sent us a £20 gift card - alcohol allowed!

It seemed reasonable, therefore, to place an order full of bottled beer, which we have just done. Sometimes, having a little moan can bring rewards...

Good result! Waitrose are excellent on customer service.

The cable TV bill is too high. Tomorrow the installer for fiber optics cable TV is coming. I have no idea what fiber optics is, but the bundle with phone and internet is lower. The confirmation email said it will take 4-8 hours for installation. What?!? Really? If it takes longer than1 hour, I'm throwing him out. Haha.

I can't help thinking some people actually want to be offended so they can complain.

Why is it that photographing cakes is so difficult? Took 20 shots today of a honey & lemon cake I made and they are all rubbish!

In this months Food Network mag.(Oct.) a large section of the magazine is devoted to taking food pictures. I tried to find you a link but couldn't. If they sell it where you live, it might be interesting reading for you. Page 39, it's called Special Instagram Section.

I don't think we can get it here. But thanks...
