The postal ballot forms arrived today for the state elections... I'm so glad we qualify for postal voting because I would be guessing/ taking a random potshot if I had to do this in an election booth with mandatory voting.

There are 2 separate forms roughly the same size. I'm not sure currently if it is shorter or longer than the federal election forms last year.

Ours are like that but with heavier paper, it comes flat in a large envelope, and is perforated at the folds. We do vote by mail as well.

When mine is acting up the Chiro helps for a day or two, then it can come back...when it flairs up like that, I think I have injured it somehow..Doesn't take much..you can twist the wrong way or ban your hip a little on the edge of a counter...so, ice, heat, ibuprofen and time...problem is it gets fragile as we age so it will injure much more easily...I've started back excersises when it is feeling good now to help strengthen it..I'm also walking a. lot now..that helps keep it loose..
Interestingly, a common culprit i found back when I was a massage therapist was men wearing their wallets in their back pockets and then sitting on them. All but 1 of my clients were men, and 70% of them spent long hours seated while traveling with wallet in back pocket, which puts pressure on the piriformis and impinges the sciatic nerve. A few others had injuries from carwrecks, physicslly work-related incidents, or from sports. Other sciatic clients had herniated lumbar discs so had to be referred elsewhere because massage directly to the affected area could make it worse. The best I could do in those cases was to apply ice (heat is bad for inflammation) and massage the glutes, hamstrings, and back areas above the inflamed location.

Just waking up in our condo in Edisto Island. It's really nice here. We checked in last night and got mostly unpacked. Its a bit chilly today but is warming up throughout the week. Today we will take a drive around and check out the area, plus go to the farmers market and seafood store. We will probably go for a walk later.

We didn't get a bit of rain, close to Broward/Palm Beach County line.
I'm further south, Pines & 178th. I'm also closer to the US27 than I75. Sometimes I think we get more rain because we're closer to Everglades. Still not enough. Going to put out the sprinkler later so the HOA doesn't complain about my dead grass 😅

I take my wallet out when I get in the car. I can’t count the times I have conveniently forgot it in the car when it came time to pay. Lol

We used to live a little further west at close to 200 and Pines before we downsized and moved further north. You've got it nice now. When we first built our home, we had to drive to Flamingo to go to the closest grocery.

We had a cold front come through last night and it gave us some well-needed rain. I'm too cheap to fix my sprinkler system, so my brown grass and struggling mango tree are grateful LOL
I'm different to you , .my grass is thick and green. Mowing fortnightly. We use a sprinkler for the garden but with a large span to include the lawn.
My lawn man does mine. $25 a time.

Is that something you can go to the doc/chiro for?

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. She is a PCP, which means she will not know what to do, so she will tell me to take some Tylenol, and don't do anything strenuous. But, I need a referral from her to get my insurance to cover the cost of a specialist.

I really need a new PCP, but like the one I have, most of them went to medical school in a Third World country, because PCPs don't get paid a lot here, but it is more than they can make in their home country. My current PCP can't even pronounce my last name. Health insurance companies LOVE Third World doctors because they will work cheap.

Yeah, when mine goes bad, it is not because of anything strenuous that I have done. It just happens. This time, I woke up with it. I once had it hit me when I was handing a credit card to a cashier. Credit cards don't weigh THAT much.

I have a lidocaine patch on it right now.

Apparently everyone in this country will get an alarm go off on their mobile phones on 23 April, it is a test apparently, a bit like an old air raid siren. Concerning

They do that here, sometimes.

I turned off the Amber alerts (missing child), and just have the severe weather alerts turned on. If you are in a crowded place when an Amber alert is sent (which happens regularly), you'll hear dozens of phones screeching all at once.
