They were in most waters around Port Arthur. They were even found in water hazards at golf courses.

But, they rarely came near people, at least intentionally. They want nothing to do with us, if they can avoid it.

You do remember I grew up in Florida? One of my 1st jobs was as a beverage cart girl at a golf course in Florida. I also loved fishing, kayaking, etc. on backwaters and bayous back then. I've seen lots of gators.

Additionally, I've been visiting the Port Arthur area regularly since 1963 since I had/have lots of family there (my parents went to the same high school in Port Arthur that you did, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins). Going to visit my cousins there next month In fact.

I stick to my statement to that I'm less worried about a tarantula than an alligator.

I'm not trying to be the spelling police here, but just wondering why campaign, which has a totally different meaning and usage, has been used on more than 1 occasion here and at least 1 other site by different users instead of the proper spelling of champagne? Let's hope auto correct isn't that far gone.

Well officer, it was like this. I typed it in, and spell check was fine with it. After some searching, it seems that Champaign, Illinois is acceptable to spell check.

I'll only celebrate when Jeremy Corbyn resigns. Came over here and said Chavez was doing a "great job"
20 years later, the country is in ruins, inflation has been as high as 2,000,000%, 7 million have left the country and that bearded little runt still says "Socialism Works"

Weve just got rid of our socialist PM.
Giggle her at a socialist conference just before coming PM. Mentions comrade about 17 times.
Taken over by another communist.

I'm so sorry. I was so wrong. I don't know WHAT I was thinking. :shy:
