Back home
Did my shopping.
Got 2 gas bottles exchanged (different brands, so different locations)
Got money from the ATM and we have new notes. Biggest was 100 kw (about 3.50 U$, biggest now it 500 kwacha.

Filled up the car and a fuel container.
Bought one of those car starter battery thingies (in case of empty battery and mine's automatic, so no push starting)

Picked up the car/camping fridge/freezer that I bought in South Africa and that a friend of mine brought into Zam.
Just loaded it and fits a case of bombers (12 bottles of beer, 750 ml each) and 8 tonics.
Now to see how long it takes to cool them from a start temperature of 35 oC.

Rest was grocery shopping.
And now remember I forgot to take my red wine out of the car....
I have a jump starter (NOCO) and it’s a brilliant bit of kit.

I hope mine is too.
It's from the Chinese shop though. Warranty till the door.
But most stuff these days comes from China, except that we (Africa) are the dumping grounds.
So, fingers crossed. I am not going to empy the car battery to check....

Oh we have the same not fit for purpose low grade stuff dumped here too. You’re lucky if some of it’s even single use.

But we do have good consumer laws especially concerning electrical items so unless you bought direct from China you get a refund.
Plus we generally have the good brands with good reviews on offer too so that squeezes a lot of the really bad stuff out of market.

Oh I forgot about this.
They now have not one but two kitchen concessions in there. I could possibly of walked through one but two without something falling into my basket?!

Well the outdoor kitchen needed a drinks tray and the flamenco emoji is my favourite emoji so…. 💃

It's going to need a bar too... 😉

Did you forget the knee things?
I'd love to buy some, but it would be a waste of time. My knees are toast; too many years playing absurdly knee-damaging sport.
I invested in a cheap plastic stool, about 1ft tall, which definitely does the trick. I've also managed to save all my old threadbare jeans (which involved hiding them behind my out-of-date suits, so my wife wouldn't throw them away) and a pile of disgusting T shirts - which were not disgusting until I added bleach to the washing machine instead of fabric softener. Anyway, I'm all set up. :hyper:
