The Honey Thread

The last time I was in Mexico, my DIL's boss gave me a huge jar of honey; the honey was collected near to, and on the slopes of Mt Popocatetepl - the closest volcano to Mexico City.
Yes, there was a faint smoky taste present.
Just thought I'd get the topic back on track... so I looked in my favourite Hors d'oeuvres book and found carrot, honey and ginger soup; honey mustard chicken drumsticks; honey mustard and prosciutto palmiers; honey and rosemary glazed cocktail sausages and salmon with a honey&tamarind glaze.
Hmmm - might give some of those a try at the weekend!
