Its not unusual for foodstuffs to be used in perfumes. For example, vanilla, tonka beans, orange, lemon, cocoa bean, to name but a few. But what about lentils? Well, Merchant Gourmet have just pitched a fragrance inspired by the home of puy lentils, Le Puy en Velay valleys. It says L’essence De Puy features warm, earthy and rich notes of patchouli and cedarwood.
