What are you baking today (2024)?

Yummy!!
When I was in the UK last year, a Greek Bakery opened in my home town. I made a beeline for the place. Not only did they have delicious spanakopita, but also a host of other phyllo pastry delights, including one with leeks.
And the delicious Greek coffee, of course!

Pecan Sour Cream Coffee Cake ala Chef John, one of our favorite cakes ... sssshhhh 🤫 ... don't tell DH that there's Sour Cream in there, he claims to not like it.
I had the recipe up on my laptop as I was putting the ingredients together and I hear from behind me, "WHAT?! SOUR CREAM?!"
No no DH, I leave that out 😉:whistling:🎶

Looks wonderful. Please post your recipe.
It's a regular pound cake, the only things I swapped were white sugar for soft brown sugar and I added a tablespoon of cinnamon.
So 250 grams of good butter, 250 grams of self raising flour, 5 eggs, a pinch of salt and 250 grams of soft brown sugar and just make a loaf the way you'd normally make a pound cake.
