Personally, I'm ok with people dressing or projecting the image they want, regardless of their age. A sweet old cookie-baking granny is just one image, and it's a nice comforting one, but if someone who's 60...70...80...wants to put on some leather pants, get a bellybutton piercing, and roar off on a motorcycle, I'm all for that as well.Dear Hemulen I hate seeing people being so hard on themselves and how they look. You are older, and have been through a variety of experiences and accomplishments that I have not, and your appearance probably reflects that. I still have little signs of aging and maybe when I get there I will hate the way I look, but the other day I was talking to a friend about this and we both reached the conclusion that we don't like it when older people try to look much younger, like women in their 60's who try to look like they're 20. Some older are so lively and full of energy they naturally look younger but for most people their rhythm kind of slows down and it shows in their face and their bodies. We talked of Cher or Jennifer Lopez, I could never imagine those women as my grandma, they don't look like the kind of sweet grandma who bakes cookies and gives you candy! I know it's hard to accept ourselves as we are, and I used to spend a lot of time comparing myself to other people until I understood me and my body do things that are so important to me and that these other people don't do...I wouldn't want to look like them if I couldn't read or dance or think the way I do.
My friend shared with me this beautiful really ad that made me cry I think there was one in english but I can't find it in my country
