It is this vegetable that is common in Mexican cuisine & strangely enough in Australia. It grows prolifically in Sydney as a fence climber. It is out of fashion now though.

I suppose that's how it ended up, isn't it? However, that was not my original plan. Hubby enjoyed the Mama sandwich he had on Thursday so much we brought some to cook at our daughter's. Then hubby thought we wouldn't have enough food with only six (huge) sausages. We did. So now we'll eat leftovers.This all sounds like very good German Mexican fusion food - is that right?

That looks very nice. I am used to French onion soup which is really dark and rich. This onion soup looks much lighter. Do you have a recipe for this?
