DH made me one of my favorite dish, Bow Tie Pasta with Mushrooms. He ate leftovers from the other night. He also made us both a very delicious salad.

Lunch out because we were Christmas shopping eek.

Vegan cafe...

my pesto, cheddar and tomatoes toasted sandwich.

Hubby's toasted falafel wrap with chips.



Dessert: raspberry, apple, almond and walnut tart, not so good sadly.


I also had a hot chocolate made with macadamia nut milk , very nice

We tried a new (well, new to us) beer yesterday: Clogwyn Gold from the Conwy Brewery in North Wales. A very nice ale for a summer evening.

Tonight, we shall follow that with a small dab of Bowmore 12-year-old malt, a gift from our friend who has been up visiting her relatives and friends in Scotland. She tells us that it is compensation for her "shameless abuse of hospitality." Naturally, we declared this to be nonsense, but since the bottle is here now...

Ahhhh...that six weeks or so when I don't have to make do with a supermarket tomato.

I may have to revise my weekly menu to account for BLTs while these are in season.

You know you're tasty when all you need is a little salt.
