So i attempted my very first macarons this weekend!
Quite a few things to fix next time (meringue browned in the oven, shells broke a bit when coming off the tray and piping of the filing is pretty uneven), but they were super tasty so I pretty happy for a first attempt!

What do you think? Have you ever tried them?

A night off cooking for me, as my missus decided to eat a Dairy Queen banana split blizzard for supper.

Snap here as well. We all went out to an Indian restaurant last night. Family dinner, I picked up the tab. Grandkids were a bit noisy, but I'm getting older,lol.

hubby and I had a dessert dinner last Sunday...A slice of Marble cake, with a side of apple crumble, and a drizzle of custard. All homemade. Meanwhile we made the kids have dinner beforehand and have a salad first

I used up a couple of my home made hoagie rolls and the last of my baby gold potatoes to make a meal with Italian sausage.

I used nothing on the sandwich, except stone ground mustard.

Baked potatoes and topped with a chicken-and-ham pot pie filling.

I did my usual trick of making a garnish of fried bread crumbs and parsley, and then promptly forgot about it.

Bibimbap. Spinach, bean sprouts, shiitakis, carrots, ground beef, an egg and bibimbap sauce. Jasmine rice.

Lamb sausage, marinated salad of cucumbers, red bell peppers, onion, feta, basil & oregano with field greens in a pita with Parmesan herb freezer fries.
