I can’t even go into the image that conjured up for a Brit that knows the word fanny as something else
But it did make my jaw drop until I remembered it’s the American meaning of fanny

Can you please explain that in a spoiler? It means rear-end here, how much worse can it get? I have a feeling I am about to find out...and I need to know.

Edit: don't. I googled it and didn't giggle, I tell ya that much. I also realize why your jaw dropped since having fanny burps in the UK would probably not be food related, LOL!

You would’ve loved the ‘80’s here, when fanny packs were all the rage - you wore ‘em right on your fanny! Even the men!

Oh I can be quite crass at times but not on this forum for sure. Just to clarify to anyone who needs to know, in the USA fanny means "rear-end"! That's what I get for trying to polite. I shoulda just wrote, "fart". Wait, hoping that fart means the same in the UK as it does in the US...sigh.

Today I served a Chinese pork loin stir fry on short grain rice.

For those who want to feel more authentic while making and serviing stir fry Let me recommend the appropriate tools. Not only do you need a wok but you should also have a Chinese cook's knife (厨师刀), a wooden rice paddle and a stir fry spatula. Of course you can use any tools you like but I never know when someone might want some additional authenticity.

I think I have cracked it. It's similar to polenta but made from chickpeas and is a hit.

Today's version was made with garlic and fresh herbs, and Aleppo pepper flakes added to the top.

There's a piece of vegan cheese on the top.

But son has demanded I make a chocolate cake today. I'm probably going with Nick Malgieri's chocolate mayo cake, because it's easy and I'm a lousy baker!
