And, you could write a book on how to eat fried eggs. One person’s favourite way can gross somebody else out. I mean, what’s wrong with peanut butter toast dipped in ketchup? Or hot sauce???

Seeing someone put ketchup on eggs of any style makes me a little . I don't know why, but it does. Surprisingly, hot sauce doesn't have the same effect -- in moderation.

I love salsa on eggs. Hot sauce is fine, but ketchup is just a hard no, and I don't have a problem with ketchup in general. It has its place. Just not on my eggs.

I cannot say I have ever put ketchup on plain eggs (fried, poached or boiled); unless you count ketchup on a burger with an egg on top?

Generally I just add a little salt but occasionally I sprinkle with Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce or brown sauce. Fried egg and chips may attract a little malt vinegar.

Strange that I could hardly taste the spices in that dish. It could be a side effect of my Moderna Covid vaccine yesterday?

Lunch today....

2 photos, 1 taken on my android phone and 1 taken on my iPod nano (birthday present because my 12 year old iPod classic has stated to have charging issues and only works off the car 12v radio transmitter) but urchin it found be years before I have the hang of the iPod camera! Same salad, same light, same location, but the android version has 2 pieces of marinated fried (air fryer) tofu on the plate as well.

Today we went all sophisticated European. Having finally found a supermarket that sells Brats I did the long threatened national dish of Germany, the Currywurst.

I feel the same. I can deal with brown sauce or chilli sauce but not ketchup with eggs. And I don't know why either!
