I promise this is just coincidence, and in no way trying to weigh in on the Chili conversation. I know this slow cooker version (with beans) is in no way authentic as such, but it does taste pretty good.
If I go off the air for a bit is because in a few days am heading off to some of my old stomping grounds in Fiji, where access to wifi, etc, can be a bit sketchy. I'll be more likely found in villages, small non tourist towns, than upmarket resorts. I'll try and upload a few pics of meals over there when I can.
If you're one of those rare and endangered species known as a subscriber of my YouTube channel, never fear. Ive scheduled from stockpiled videos to publish one on each Friday (Oz time) for the next four weeks.

Cold soup (a borscht based soup) served with homemade soy yoghurt and some yellow tomatoes that needed eating, and the cold Orange & Miso glazed tofu from yesterday.
That soup is beautiful!
