Beef stroganoff and chips

I do like chips with a Stroganoff!

Tonight we had sea bass with broad beans and home made salsa verdict (garlic, rape seed oil and home grown lemon balm and mint). We like to have fresh fish at the weekend. During the week we eat vegan or something with tinned fish or egg.

This afternoon (in place of lunch) we had (gf and vegan) Bakewell pudding and custard. In Bakewell. I had my camera but forgot to take a photo! I'll just have to go again.

The plan was a beef and potato pie (like my mum used to make).
The beef.
The beef cooked with kidney (pork), potatoes and carrots.
The disastrous "lid" (which was suppose to rise).
The result was beef stew and roti paratha - but the stew was excellent.

I don't think baking instead of frying meant that it's not a samosa, but the shape is certainly more like a pasty (or even more like an empanada).

I've never tried that - it's always noodles, it seems, when it's a stroganoff - but I do like the idea. I will have to give this a try!
