I vacuum sealed a slab of leftover prime rib, and heated it sous vide. It came out great. Still medium rare inside. Some garlic mashed potatoes on the side.

Just back from Kuranda. Headed to the marina for a swim in the “lagoon” before we buy some stuff for a picnic dinner.

Tomorrow we have a half day Green Island cruise, followed by lunch & then we fly back to Sydney.

We had a week in Cairns on our honeymoon, including two nights on a liveaboard dive boat on the outer reefs. Really liked the place. Did you drive up to Kuranda, or take the train?

Picnic dinner by the Coral Sea. Local prawns, cherry toms, mini cukes, garlic dip, olives, blue cheese, salami & decent rolls. Unfortunately my daughter is “lawful good” so we kept the wine for back at the hotel.

We had a week in Cairns on our honeymoon, including two nights on a liveaboard dive boat on the outer reefs. Really liked the place. Did you drive up to Kuranda, or take the train?

This time we did the Sky Rail up & back as the train is closed for maintenance.

Last time I was here (2016) a friend drove us up and we came down on the cable cars - the boardwalk out to view the Barron Falls wasn’t complete. Much better views at that stop now.

The drive from cairns to brissy is amazing. Stops at airlie beach yeppoon are great places. Weve done it 3 times.
