What did you cook or eat today (May 2019)?

Risotto tonight, arborio butter chicken stock, browned chicken chunks pumpkin and peas. I though we had feta to,add to the end, bup bow, (buzzer noise) found Parmesan. It was very nice, I'm coming around to risotto now.

Mushroom risotto at a local cafe bar. It was divine. The same place had yesterday served me a steak burger that was really bad. What is it with chefs who can create really fantastic dishes but trip up on basics?

The plan was a Wagyu burger but a mate called around for a beer.

Settled for grilled stuffed jacket potatoes with fresh red chillis.

Hubby was obviously very hungry last night because he had served tea before I even got to the table to say that I wanted a photo because it looked really good.. .
Vegan mac cheese with (vegan) sausage pieces . It did look great, tasted great and was just what we both needed .some comfort food .I'd just underestimated how much hubby needed it!

Please take a picture next time: I'm always interested in substitutes like this that are still appetizing.

Dinner this evening was something I had not tried before, cod au vin. A piece of cod baked in red wine sauce served with mash, kale and coq au vin sauce, very tasty.

The restaurant we went to this evening was really good however the serve apple crumble chilled

No no no it should be hot with lots of custard.
