DH requested Paniolo Chili again, okay!
He had his straight up in a bowl with just Soda Crackers, I opted for AF Tater Tots, Chili, Cheese and chopped Sweet White Onions, ONO (that's Hawaiian for delicious) !!!
 
Made yesterday. It's colder today and we definitely wanted something warmer! Oh well. Can't win them all.

Strawberry Gazpacho soup

Tomorrow I'll make a tachin or tahdig and it will probably be too warm to have the oven on for an hour! Lol
 
We've been eating out or take-out, or really simple meals for the most part for the past couple of weeks.

I did make chicken mimosa sandwiches with butter and lard biscuits, with sweet potato butter and sriracha slaw from either ATK or Cook's Country. They were also supposed to have either a poached or over easy egg on them, but we skipped that. Pretty good, especially the crust on the chicken.

Mom's sandwiches, corned beef, ham and turkey with 1000 island dressing as a spread, dill pickle slices, thin slice tomatoes and munster cheese, dipped in an egg/milk wash, fried in butter and vege oil, finished in oven.

Plus we had a sheet pan b/s chicken, potato cubes, green beans in a garlic, butter, thyme, chix broth meal that was definitely worth a mention, though I'd parcook or put the green beans in a bit earlier since they were quite crunchy still. There is mention of several other sheet pan meals on the site I'm going to try.

We had a "bad" thing happen though. A Cheesecake Factory opened up less than 10 minutes from us. It opened 11/7 and we went 11/8. It was packed and service was a bit off, but that will get sorted out, food was good, but the bad thing is I can now get my addiction to Godiva cheesecake satisfied with just a short trip. :laugh:
 
My brief experience with The Cheesecke Factory is that portions are humongously enormous! We had 1 portion of cheesecake between 3 of us!
I usually eat half at a time, but sometimes a third, just depends. I'm not sharing my Godiva!

I get it to go, am always too full to eat at restaurant. Usually bring home some of my meal too, but that's pretty much the norm wherever we eat for me.
