Very...middle-of-the-road. Not great, not bad. Just...so-so.

Filled with beef, rice, tomatoes, beans, corn, and black olives, and a little cheese on top.

That's a lot going on for a poblano sliced in half. Plus, it looks like you left the skin on the poblano. Typically, you char, blister, and peel a poblano before stuffing it whole -- with fewer ingredients. Try it... you'll like it (quiz - what old TV commercial did that come from?)

Last nights Chicken breast strips and red peppers in a black pepper sauce served with jasmine rice. I used two tbls of the paste ( hot) also in the little bowl is ginger, garlic and a fresh chili for flavor. I let the paste down with an ice cube of chicken stock and a tablespoon of boiling water. It's my version of a sichuan dish so the sauce should coat not float.

Ah Yes Tarallini or aka Tarallucci. With fennel seeds are the original Italian (Apulian) ones 👍
These are the ones we get:

They have become a regular feature of Sunday nibbles whilst prepping lunch, alongside goat's cheese or Boursin, pickled walnuts, chorizo, or whatever other bits are lurking in the fridge. Helped down by cold, white, fizzy stuff

Basic meatloaf (organic minced beef seasoned with dry onion soup mix), sour cream-chanterelle sauce, oven-baked potatoes and feta-strawberry salad. A cake baked with 99% cocoa (Lindt brand) chocolate for dessert. I did most of the dishes and cleaning but kids filled the dishwasher (well, partially). Yeah, yeah, I tend to be a curling mom raising nonindependent individuals. It goes in the family 🤷‍♀️.

They are a staple for me and for aperitive in general in Italy I might eat a whole pack of them. Have you ever paired them with some chocolate? Oh, a taste experience 😍
