Tostadas Supreme: refried beans, shredded cheese, salsa, sour cream, lettuce, and tomato. Yummmmmmmy.

Edited to add that I loved eating Taco Bell tostadas as a teenager, they were .49 cents back then. I haven't eaten one since before 1980, but had a craving for them the other day so I bought stuff to make them at home. The ones I had at Taco Hell were just beans, cheese, and lettuce (iceberg) with some added TB salsa. I upped the game by using greenleaf lettuce and adding the sour cream and tomato, though.

There is a name for that condition. It's called getting old. 🧓

My condition is a combination of getting old and not having enough work (thanks Covid).

A typical Tasty night:

1. Go to bed at 10:30PM
2. Wake up from night sweats at 1AM; move to guest room
3. Wake up to pee at 3:30AM
4. Can't get back to sleep; move to sofa at 4AM
5. Up for good by 6:30AM

I have terrible insomnia problems and melatonin is part of my nightly pills, along with the blood pressure, diabetes and ibuprofen pain killer. But I wake at weird times, my sleep cycle being broken up over the day, about 2 to 3 hours at a shot with a period of being awake in between. Usually, it's my bladder that wakes me and then, my sinuses keep me awake until they dry up. It's an irregular routine for me. I just deal with it.

I wasn't aware of your health issues, sorry to hear. Are you aware of gabapentin as a pain killer? I couldn't operate without my pill in the morning.

Well you are up past your bedtime, then.

That sounds pretty horrible. I would not be able to get up at 6:30 a.m. after a night like that.

I don't think I have ever heard of gabapentin, is that OTC or prescription?

Script, it was designed for epilepsy but a side effect it kills pain in some people. I think there's a couple on here that take it. Mines for scar tissue that didn't knit. Pain was 9.5 but my doc asked me to try it, pain .5 , I can function like a 40 yo. It absolutely changed my life. I have a friend who had testicular cancer, he talks a volume three times my pill strength.

I made a big Turkey Pie for last night. I slow cooked 2 big turkey thighs with onions, fresh mushrooms and carrots overnight. Let it cool, then strained so I could have loads of gravy. Chopped the meat. Made all butter short crust, Assembled.

The pastry was very "short" and I was a bit clumsy removing the pie from the tin so it cracked.Yes I am an old romantic.
