What did you eat/cook today (January 2017)?

I think its a peculiarly British thing. I love it. Traditionally eaten with roast chicken. Its sauce made with breadcrumbs and milk with seasonings! See here for a recipe. We can get it in packets too.

It was, we use Pilgrim cheese because it was on offer and has a good strong taste. It also melts well on toast
Swiss?
Swiss cheese.
OK! Long time since I bought any - Emmental, Gruyere, Raclette...
The package says swiss.
Not made in Switzerland then? Does it look like Emmental?
Today I made chilli with black beans. Some has been eaten but some is saved to re-heat and photograph tomorrow (with recipe).

I don't know! You might well, my dear. Perhaps Swiss cheese in US is a generic thing. I'll check it out.
