What did you eat or cook today (December 2024)?

Was not in the mood to cook at all so just got hungrier and hungrier until I had to do something!
Had plenty of the meatballs I made left over and I really could not be ar*ed with the rest of it so buried the asparagus in the bought carrot and parsnip mash and nuked it together.

Somehow the asparagus was perfect
The boys renamed the meatballs ‘Dogs Boll**s’

I used the main ingredients from a chinese dumpling filling recipe. Pork and shredded cabbage.
I don’t know why it worked so well but it’s a keeper.
Happy days.

Pot roast with potatoes, onions, carrots, parsnips and mushrooms. We needed a warm meal. It didn't break 70 F today.

I went freezer trolling and came up with the makings of an Asian inspired meal, the only thing I went out and bought was the Sushi.
(I could have made it myself, but I was too busy today)
Working clock-wise from there:
Deep Fried Coconut Shrimp
Steamed Pork & Vegetable Gyoza or Dumplings
Steamed Fish Cake or Kamaboko
Steamed Edamame
AF Pork & Vegetable Egg Rolls
Dipping Sauces were Thai Sweet Chili Sauce and that blow your head off Wasabi mixed with Aloha Brand Shoyu aka Soy Sauce
Not pictured is my Beer ... one must have a Beer with Asian food, don't you think

Plus some glasses home brewed beer
