And from here http://www.barnivore.com/products/10774-cairngorm-black-goldWe are Vegetarian Approved and currently our ale Black Gold (in bottle) is Vegetarian Approved Beer of the Year. Black Gold does contain Lactose as it is made from a Traditional Milk Stout recipe.
Like you?
I know that now! But I had never heard of milk stout before and had no idea that it even existed and it is only the UK that don't allow it to be called that. If it was called that I would have stayed well away from it!Cairngorm Black Gold won CAMRA's Champion Beer of Scotland award this year and the brewers mention using lactose:

I would be tempted to make them an offer on the remaining stockbut one feels obliged to help them clear the stock.
Something I was pleased to get hold of was something from the Lerwick Brewery in Shetland. I've had a few beers from Shetland's other brewery, the splendidly-named Valhalla, but not this one as yet.
I also grabbed some Light Ness, a hoppy beer from the Loch Ness Brewery. Here's a curious thing - I had a look at their website and went into the frequently asked questions. It's all in Latin. Why, I really couldn't say.
I had a look but couldn't find the FAQ. It was probably under construction and using dummy text (Lorem Ipsum) which has its roots in Lation. See here http://www.lipsum.com
