I can't remember the names of the characters, but I used to love those comedy sketches of Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse, where they were sat in a pub, talking about some celebrity or something, and suddenly Enfield's character would become more and more unhinged in his complaints, and what he'd do to the celebrity in question, should they ever visit his neighborhood, each punishment more violent and bizarre than the last, and the entire time, Whitehouse's character would just calmly say things like, "...and no one would blame you for that," or "...and you'd be well within your rights to do so."

Paul Whitehouse said one of the most absurdly funny things I've ever heard, and I still say it when I want to confuse people. He was playing a petty thief, and a little kid expressed interest in also becoming a petty thief, and Whitehouse looks down at the kid, and sagely says, "It's a dog-eat-dog world out there, and I, my son, will eat your dog."
