Went out for breakfast, then stopped at the Italian market.

Nduja, smoked fresh mozzarella, ricotta salata , and some pretty and fairly skinny (hopefully less seeds) eggplants. They had baby eggplants too, 6-7 inches long, but we wanted bigger. Also, the globe and bright purple Japanese eggplants.

Yesterday at our open market I picked up: for charcuterie mostly.

Makdous: Lebanese dish.... baby eggplant stuffed with walnuts, red pepper, garlic olive oil and salt.

Jeow: from Laos...... Chili pepper, garlic, shallot, kefir lime, sugar, salt, fish sauce, water.

Sass topper : sugar, pineapple, crabapple jelly, horseradish, grainy mustard, lemon, pectin, butter

WooHoo! We are getting an H-E-B store! It is being called H-E-B Frisco, although it is actually on the McKinney side of the roadway that marks the border. It is going to be directly across the road from a Kroger Marketplace, Kroger's biggest and best stores. That should be an interesting intersection for groceries. :ninja:

Now all we need is a Fiesta Supermercado, and we'll have it all.

Hey, I've shopped at those!

Did our meal shopping today at 2 different groceries. I wanted lamb for moussaka and Kashmiri Rogan Josh. One place only had seasoned half leg of lamb plus some expensive "steak" cuts and the other didn't have any at all. So, came home and called a beef place about 25 minutes north of us, meat department never answered the phone and I'm not driving up there for nothing. So, looked at Wild Forks website. Boneless leg of lamb for $6 a pound, average package size 5.75 pounds. Ordered 1 package. Needed to spend a few dollars more for local delivery so bought some wild caught Gulf X-large shrimp for $9.78 pound. They are only about 20 minutes away, but at $4.95 for delivery, I'm having them delivered.

My grocery shopping list has gotten big enough that I have broken it down into categories. I don't expect to get everything all at once, but I needed to list what I want for future and current projects.
