I went to our local Walmart today and was going to buy a bag of Apples to make Chunky Apple Sauce - $4.97 for a 2 pound bag
Then I thought to drive over to that Apple tree in our banks parking lot that was groaning with fruit - GONE!! Dang it all!

Last week our local Fry's aka Kroger's had Fuji Apples for 97¢ a pound, I knew that I should have bought more, dang it all!!!
HEY! I just "giggled" Sprouts Farmer's Market and they have Gala Apples 98¢ a pound!!

Fuji apples used to be my favorite, but now it is Honeycrisp.

I love Honeycrisp Apples, but the price has followed the trend of its popularity I fear.
They were $2.99/lb.
I've recently introduced DH to a snack that I love, Apples slices, sharp Cheese and Smoked Almonds (or the Nut of your choice). Now he loves this too.
I saw a pre-made cold snack trays in the market for something like $3 each, when I can make a quick snack for far less than that!
